How long is the exam and what’s the format?

The exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions. Candidates have a four-hour window to complete it, with most finishing in under three hours. For an overview of the exam topics, see the CPH Content Outline.

What if I don’t pass the first time?

You may reapply via CPH Central the day after your exam. The retake fee is $150. After payment, you will receive an email from Meazure Learning with scheduling instructions.

Do I have to take it immediately after registering?

There is no deadline to take the CPH exam after registering. Once approved as eligible, you remain eligible indefinitely.

What about recertification?

The recertification period for the CPH is 2 years and you must earn a total of 30 credits during the 2-year period. Follow the CPH Recertification Instructions which shows you how to report credits, view your reported credit history, update your contact information, and apply for recertification.
