CPHN Exam Fee

The regular fee for the CPHN exam is $385.

CPHN Exam Bundles

Take Two – this includes your regular exam fee plus a free retake if you missed your scheduled exam time or you need to retake the exam for any reason. Available for $435 ($100 savings)

For bundles: no refunds, no additions, and no combining with discounts/vouchers

Rescheduling Exam Fee

Testing Center Policy
Candidates taking the exam at a testing center may reschedule or cancel the exam up to 48 hours before their scheduled appointment date. Exams rescheduled or cancelled:

More than 10 days prior to the scheduled appointment time incur no rescheduling fee.
Between 2 and 10 days prior to the scheduled appointment time incur a $15 non-refundable rescheduling fee due at the time the request is submitted.
Requests made less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time are not eligible for rescheduling or cancellation and exam fees cannot be refunded. Candidates will need to re-register for the exam and incur a $150 retake fee.

Live Online Proctoring (LOP) Policy
Candidates taking the exam via LOP may reschedule or cancel the exam up to 24 hours before their scheduled appointment time. Requests made less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time are not eligible for rescheduling or cancellation and exam fees cannot be refunded. Candidates will need to re-register for the exam and incur a $150 retake fee.

At the time of cancellation, candidates may select a new date or temporarily cancel. There is no testing deadline; CPHN eligibility is indefinite. However, once CPHN applications are approved, no refunds will be issued.

Retake Exam Fee

After you have taken your exam (or if you were absent on your scheduled exam date) you may reapply online via CertCentral. The retake fee is $150. Once paid, you will receive an email from Meazure Learning with scheduling instructions.

Exam Fee Discounts

The NBPHE offers partnership discounts to organizations, schools and programs of public health, and sponsoring employers who commit to promoting the Certification in Public Health Nursing.

Employees, members, students or alumni of the groups listed below will automatically receive a discount by indicating their affiliation within the CPHN candidate application. For individuals with multiple affiliations, the lowest discount price will apply.
