My CDI Portal CPH Exam System Updates
NBPHE will be making updates to the CPH exam administration and scheduling. System updates will begin September 23 and end on September 30, 2026.
- Between September 23 and September 30, candidates will not be able to schedule an exam date. Testing will continue during this period, but scheduling will not be available. If you wish to take the exam before October 1, please schedule before September 23.
- In our current system, dates after September 30 are currently blocked off in preparation for the transition. If you wish to schedule an exam date after September 30, you will be able to do so starting on October 1.
- Candidates who have already scheduled a testing date after September 30 do not need to reschedule but will receive a new set of testing instructions by email on or around October 1.
Second Camera Requirement
Beginning October 1, 2026, candidates scheduled to take the exam via Live Online Proctor (LOP) will be required to have a Second Camera. NOTE: This does not apply to candidates taking the exam at computer-based testing centers. LOP candidates must have a mobile device or portable tablet equipped with a front-facing camera and stable internet connectivity during the exam session. LOP candidates must also have a charger within reach of their workspace, as mobile device’s camera usage will drain its battery. Review the Second Camera Requirements and Tutorial Prior to Testing.
Exam Break Requirement
Beginning October 1, 2026, candidates scheduled to take the exam via Live Online Proctor (LOP) and at computer-based testing centers will automatically have a 10-minute break during their exam session. NOTE: Exam candidates will not be allowed to review or access the initial first half of the exam questions completed prior to the break (the break will be based on completion of the first half of the exam questions or at the 2-hour mark.) Once the break has been completed, exam candidates will continue on with the remaining questions on the exam.
New Features
With the system update, all candidates have access to two new features: 1) a global notepad available during the exam that allows you to take notes during your session and 2) access to the annotations feature where you can mark-up questions and response options while you are working on the exam.
